Commission Your Seascape Painting

 

Bring the beauty of the ocean into your space with a custom sculptural seascape painting by Korin Chapman. I create unique, textured artworks that capture the essence of the sea, blending sculptural techniques with vibrant acrylics.

 

Where to Start

 

Share Your Inspiration: Provide a photo, the name of a favorite seascape or wave, or a link to one of my past paintings from the page labeled Portfolio as a reference for your desired artwork.

Secure Your Spot: Commissions are handled on a first-come, first-served basis. A 30% non-refundable deposit is required to secure your place in the queue. The completion time for your painting will depend on its size and your position in the current order queue, this will be discussed during your discovery conversation. 

Approve Your Design: Before I begin sculpting, I will provide you with two 2D sample options. This is your opportunity to finalize your preferred color scheme and make any desired changes to the composition. Please note: Once the sculptural elements are complete, no edits can be made to the carvings.

 

What to Expect

 

Gallery Wrap Finish: All paintings are finished with "gallery wrap" edges, where the sculptural texture and composition extend seamlessly around the sides of the panel. This allows the piece to be displayed beautifully without a frame.

Please note: Due to the nature of Bas’ Relief, the sculptural textures will add approximately 1/4" to 1/2" to the final dimensions of the panel.

Custom Panels & Framing

Custom Sizing: If you have a specific frame you would like to use, I can create a panel sized to fit it perfectly. For non-local orders, the client is responsible for providing the exact interior dimensions and depth to ensure the piece fits correctly.

San Diego Locals: For clients located in San Diego, I offer a frame pick-up service. I will personally record the required measurements and keep your frame in the studio while I create your piece. This ensures the final carving is perfectly fitted, secured, and ready to hang upon delivery.
